Fly Eagles Fly

I felt like everyone forgot how good were the Eagles. Before the game, San Francisco was a hot topic. I understand that they did not have a great season and that they got excellent players as well as Philadelphia. We have witnessed this NFC East team's dominance the entire season. With A.J. Brown, Miles Sanders, and DeVonta Smith by his side, Jalen Hurts is having an outstanding season. I recall watching Smith while he was in college. He was among the top players selected in the 2021 draft. But let's return to the game now. It was really close in the first half. Only Christian McCaffrey's touchdown was remarkable. I never stop being amazed by this player. I have to give the Eagles credit, but the quarterback situation of the 49ers needs to be discussed. Trey Lance, a competent young quarterback chosen by the 49ers to start the season, injured his ankle in week 2. They called Jimmy Garopolo, who remained on the team as a second quarterback, after announcing that Lance was out for the season. He truly had a good season and helped the club by playing effectively, but he also was injured. Brock Purdy, the third quarterback, had to step up due to the situation. He performed admirably, but yesterday night he was injured. They asked the fourth quarterback, a 36-year-old veteran of 14 different organisations. Although he wasn't all that horrible, let's just say that the expectations were really low. And guess what? He was injured while playing. He had a concussion, and the league has very severe rules about the recovery process, so there was no way he could have returned to the field. You might deduce that a team's quarterback options are restricted during a game. So, even though Purdy was hurt, they brought him back. They had no other option. Although it is simple to claim that the Eagles had an easy game, they actually played exceptionally well and qualified for the Super Bowl. It wasn't a good gesture, so I won't elaborate on it much. Trent Williams, however, was not a very excellent athlete. It was cruel, and I'm fairly certain that K'Von Wallace did not use gentle words, but that is not a valid excuse. Although the referee may have been controversial, I believe the Eagles deserved the victory. I'll finish with Georges Kittles during the press conference. Kittle after game went in the press conference and he was aksed how it felt to lose because you did not have a quaterback. He aswer by saying « How's that feel to lose an NFC Championship game because I don't have a quaterback...pretty sh*tty. » I get that you are disapointed by the loss but it is not a reason to humiliate a guy who step up and try to play the best that he could. He can obviously be angry about the circumstances, but he did not need to discuss that with the journalist. Congratulations to the Eagles; we'll see you in Arizona. You guys deserved to be there.
